FAQs

Frequently asked questions about what we do and why we do it.

What is PEPFAR Watch?

PEPFAR Watch, an initiative of the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE), is an information clearinghouse and advocacy tool on the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), with particular emphasis on prevention of sexual transmission of HIV.  Through PEPFAR Watch, CHANGE disseminates its analysis of PEPFAR prevention policy and holds U.S. global AIDS funding and policy accountable to scientific evidence, the real-life needs of women and girls, and human rights.  PEPFAR Watch is separate, and receives no funding, from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief website, which can be accessed here.

How can I get involved?

You can get involved by signing up for CHANGE’s email list.  By signing up, you will receive updates about new tools and analysis, breaking news, and opportunities to take action.

Does PEPFAR Watch fund organizations or campaigns involved in U.S. global AIDS advocacy?

No, unfortunately PEPFAR Watch cannot provide financial assistance to organizations or campaigns involved in U.S. global AIDS advocacy.  PEPFAR Watch can, however, provide informational resources and other capacity-building opportunities.  For more information, please contact us
